  5. A shortcut to finding a run on, compound, or complete sentence is the cover up method for example:
    He went to the store and then he went out for dinner. Cover up then he went out for dinner. Is he went to the store a sentence? then cover up he went to the store. is that a sentence? then you would figure out that you need a comma conjuction or a semi colon because it is a run on sent. angla capasso
